The Badminton World Federation (BWF) and the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) released the qualification system for AirBadminton’s debut at the ANOC World Beach Games in Bali, Indonesia from 5-12 August 2023. AirBadminton wil be one of four new sports to be added to the sports programme in 2023.
On July 3, in Saulkrasti, a city in the dunes of the Baltic Sea, the first AirBadminton doubles tournament in Latvia took place – the Latvian Cup. 10 pairs from all over Latvia participated in the historic tournament. The Latvian Cup was held in accordance with the rules of AirBadminton approved by the Badminton World Federation.
